Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today made a strong pitch for making India more business friendly.
"As I am learning more about government and governance, I realise doing business is too difficult," Kejriwal said at the inaugural session of Bengal global business summit on Friday.
"I don't know how you do business," he told the industry captains present at the meet.
Referring to Delhi, he said, to organise an event in the Capital the organiser required permissions from 27 different authorities.
The last of them being permissions from the Fire Department who would grant permission only hours before the event forcing organisers to pay huge bribe.
"We have reduced the number of permissions required drastically. Made processes online to ensure quick permission," he added.
Kejriwal requested industry to build schools and hospitals in Delhi as part of their CSR activity.
