Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was discharged from Jindal Naturecure Institute here on Monday. He had been here for 10 days for treatment of chronic cough and erratic sugar levels.

The doctors at Jindal said he is to a large extent “detoxified” now and his entire system is “rejuvenated”. Chief Medical Officer Dr Babita Nandakumar said: “He has been advised a strong follow-up for his lifestyle medication, dietary changes and daily practice of prescribed yogasana, pranayama and kriya.”

Kejriwal did not entertain any guests while here. Though the Karnataka government offered use of a government vehicle in keeping with protocol, he used the car of an AAP supporter.

Kejriwal thanked the institute’s doctors and founder Dr Sitaram Jindal on Twitter. “Grateful 2 Jindal Institute, its docs, staff. Congratulations 2 Sitaram ji for setting up such a wonderful institute n running it so well,” he tweeted.

“I have been talking to Manish (Sisodia) and we have drawn up some proposals and in coming days we will make an announcement on it,” he said.

Kejriwal is looking to start a mid-day meals scheme on the lines of ISKCON’s Akshyapatra in Delhi.

“I have visited ISKCON. I visited their kitchen, which is very clean…we will see to it that this kind of mid-day meal scheme is also started in Delhi,” he added.

The Delhi CM is also eyeing a public distribution model with biometric application, as adopted by the Karnataka government.
