With a view to promoting e-governance in all sectors, the Kerala Government has decided to introduce e-ticketing in cinema houses in the State.
The necessary laws to introduce e-ticketing in cinema houses would be brought in through an ordinance, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy told presspersons after a Cabinet meeting today.
Earlier, Chandy while inaugurating a file tracking system of the secretariat titled ‘Information and Data Exchange Advanced System’ (IDEAS) said the Government wanted to strengthen e-governance in the State.
The introduction of IDEAS was a major step in this regard, he said.
With the new system, people could track through the State Government Web site, the petitions submitted by them to Ministers and the Chief Minister, the position of different files in various departments and also could access Government orders on different matters.
