The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has started multi-axle Volvo bus services from Mangalore to Mumbai and Pune.
According to a press release here, one bus departs from Mangalore at 1 p.m. and reaches Mumbai at 7.15 a.m. In the return direction, it departs from Mumbai at 1.40 p.m. and reaches Mangalore at 8.45 a.m.
Another bus departs from Mangalore at 3 p.m. and reaches Mumbai at 9 am. In the return direction, the bus departs from Mumbai at 1.30 p.m. and reaches Mangalore at 9 a.m.
KSRTC has also introduced a direct service between Mangalore and Pune. A multi-axle Volvo bus departs from Mangalore at 5 p.m. and reaches Hubli at 12.30 a.m. and Pune at 7.45 a.m. In the return direction, the bus departs from Pune at 5 p.m. and reaches Dharwad at 12.30 a.m. and Mangalore at 8.45 a.m.
