The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group inaugurated its 179-room property in Chandigarh earlier this month. Called The Lalit Chandigarh, the five-star hotel came up at an investment of Rs 400 crore. This is the group’s 12th property. Inspired by the famous French architect Le Corbusier, the property, spread across 4 acres, is located at the Rajiv Gandhi IT Park, the city’s business hub.
The hotel has five categories of rooms — Deluxe Room, Club Room, Executive Suite, Luxury Suite and The Lalit Legacy Suite. Apart from a 24x7 multi-cuisine restaurant and a 20-seater private dining room, the hotel has a café and a bar at the lobby level, meeting rooms, convention and seminar halls, and a ballroom. Plans are afoot to have a signature pan-India restaurant called Baluchi.
