In a bid to shed her anti- industry image, West Bengal Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee today called for greater co-ordination between industry and agriculture.
"Industry and agriculture are complementary and should go hand-in-hand," she said during the inauguration of ITC's facilities at Howrah.
According to her, an agro-based industry is the perfect example of harmony between the two.
She further ordered her party-men to ensure that "there would be no problems" for ITC.
"ITC or for that matter no industry is to be disturbed. They provide employment for the local youth," she added.
