Trinamool Congress supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has declared her net worth to a little above Rs 30 lakh.
According to her self-sworn affidavit filed before the Election Commission, Banerjee who is fighting from Bhabanipur Assembly constituency, doesn’t own any vehicle or property but has a multi-gym machine worth Rs 2.15 lakh.
The 61-year-old’s income for the year 2014-15 was Rs 5.92 lakh as filed before the income tax authorities.
Her total movable assets are worth Rs 30.45 lakh.
Cash in hand with the chief minister is Rs 18,436 while she has a bank balance of Rs 27.6 lakh which includes Rs 6 lakh in her election expenditure account.
She has 9.75 gram jewellery worth about Rs 27,000 in the market.
By educational qualification, she is an MA from the University of Calcutta and also holds an LLB degree.
Earlier in the day, Banerjee filed her nomination papers for Bhabanipur constituency where she is pitted against Congress’ Deepa Dasmunshi and BJP candidate Chandra Kumar Bose, grandnephew of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
