Mamata Banerjee, West Bengal Chief Minister, on Monday met President Pranab Mukherjee. This was her second meeting with Mukherjee during the latter’s three-day stay in Kolkata. The meeting took place at the Raj Bhavan.
It was not clear what she spoke about. Banerjee refused to talk to the media on her meeting with the President. She was later joined by her Cabinet colleagues — Amit Mitra, Finance Minister, and Commerce and Partha Chatterjee, Industry Minister. The Chief Minister had earlier met the President on Saturday.
