Time has come for the companies and students to stop fretting over lack of data storage infrastructure with the launch of Microsoft data centre in Chennai that allows the consumer to save data on cloud.

According to a press release from the Government of Tamil Nadu, Microsoft India that launched cloud computing services through hyper scale data centres allows the users to pay for the space depending on usage for a nominal price. In addition to reducing the cost, the scheme promotes efficiency as well.

Earlier, most of the IT companies had to spend heavily in infrastructure for storing huge volumes of company data. Introduction of data centre not only facilitates storage and security of information but also reduces dependency on the data centres overseas. This is one of the three data centres that would be launched in India by Microsoft.
