The Madhya Pradesh Government has decided to remove power major Lanco Amarkantak Power Private Ltd from its blacklist and purchase 300 MW from the company according to the memorandum of understanding (MoU) inked in 2005.
The decision to remove Lanco Amarkantak situated at Pathadi in neighbouring Chhattisgarh was taken by the Cabinet at its meeting on Monday.
Cabinet spokesman and State Parliamentary Affairs Minister Narottam Mishra told reporters on Tuesday that the company was blacklisted, as it was not ready to supply power to the State according to the MoU.
“Since the company has now decided to abide by the MoU, it has been removed from the blacklist,” he said.
