Nabard pegs credit potential for AP at Rs 98,678 cr

The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) has pegged the credit potential for Andhra Pradesh at Rs 98,678 crore for the financial year 2015-16.

The bank has released the first Focus for the new State after it was reorganised in June 2014.

Releasing the focus paper here on Thursday, Nabard Chief General Manager (AP, Telangana), Jiji Mammen, said the credit potential was 27 per cent more than last year's number.

Of the Rs 98,678 crore credit potential, agricultural and allied sectors would need Rs 69,548 crore. The MSME sector would require Rs 12,000 crore.
