Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will lead a delegation to China on April 12, seeking to pitch for investments, particularly in the electronics, energy and manufacturing sectors.
During his visit, the Chief Minister will address industrialists, investors and businessmen at three round-table meetings in Beijing, Chengdu and Shanghai, outlining the investment opportunities.
At Beijing, he will meet the executives from iPhone-maker Foxconn and Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi and highlight how AP has the potential to become a hub of manufacturing for these gadget-makers within and outside the country.
According to the Chief Minister’s Office, Andhra Pradesh plans to attract them to the proposed electronic clusters as part of its Electronics and Manufacturing Policy.
Huawei R&D Centre, Siemens, Sinoma International Engineering Co. Ltd, SUMEC Group are among some of the company executives he would interact and invite them to consider AP for investments.
Apart from interacting with industrial bodies in China such as International Department of the CPC Central Committee, China National Textile and Apparel Council and China Association for Small and Medium Enterprises, he will visit Chengdu where he will tour Peking University and later visit Shanghai’s Yangshan Deep Water Port, considered amongst world’s busiest trading ports.
