Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital and ConvaTec, a leading developer and marketer of medical technologies, today signed a deal to set up an advanced wound clinic and limb salvage centre here.
The centre at Narayana Hrudayalaya Health City will provide support and treatment for diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers and venous leg ulcers, and will have diagnostic capabilities, patient treatment rooms and specialists in wound management, according to a release.
Devi Prasad Shetty, Chairman of Narayana Hrudayalaya, said: “With the increasing incidence of diabetes and vascular diseases, there are numerous patients who require specialised wound care management. In addition there are cancer patients, who require immediate colostomy services. We wish that this unique initiative will bring a cure to them.”
