The National Democratic Alliance is poised to get 300 plus seats and will be well positioned to provide a strong Government, Prakash Javadekar, BJP National Spokesperson, said.
The inputs from elections in the first few phases, high voter turnout and ground level feedback shows that the NDA is on ascendancy and the Congress is set to be routed, he said.
Addressing a press conference here, he said the polls to the 232 Lok Sabha constituencies completed so far shows that the voter turnout has gone up significantly. As opposed to average voting of 60 per cent in 2009 in these seats, it is now over 70 per cent.
“The high percentage of voter only shows that the people are coming in large numbers to vote the Congress out. The voting pattern indicates that people are voting for change and are looking at a decisive, stable mandate. They are voting against inflation, corruption and the UPA’s non-governance,” he said.
BJP-TDP ALLIANCE
Referring to the BJP-TDP alliance, he said that it is on a firm footing and all the issues between the two parties have been sorted out.
A week after filing papers in the Telangana region and recently in Seemandhra (Andhra Pradesh), it is clear that the alliance will be successful in both the regions, he said.
He said, “BJP and allies are expected to garner over 50 seats in South out of 129 seats. The UPA, which had bagged 85 seats in 2009 will be down to 15 in 2014.”
