Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be invited for the ground-breaking ceremony for the new capital scheduled to be held on June 6, 2015.
The capital, Amaravathi, will be coming up in about 33,000 acres near Tullur, Vijayawada.
``The construction works will commence from Vijayadasami Festival in October,'' the Chief Minister told newspersons.
In view of the heat-wave in the State, the Government has asked the district collectors to take precautionary measures such ensuring water supply to the commuters and general public.
It will also pay an exgratia of ₹1 lakh for those who succumbed to the Sun stroke, Naidu said.
