The headquarters of the proposed new railway zone will be located at Visakhapatnam and there need not be any apprehensions on the count, according to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu.
He was interacting with the students of Andhra University here on Wednesday night. He said he would not let down the people of Visakhapatnam who had been demanding a rail zone with its headquarters here.
He said the package announced by the Centre recently for the development of Andhra Pradesh would be of great benefit to the State and people should not be misled by the motivated campaign of certain parties and individuals.
Earlier in the evening he inaugurated the park built by the Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) in the heart of the city.
