After Pawan Kalyan, it's Akkineni Nagarjuna's turn to go and meet Bharatiya Janata Party's leader Naredra Modi in Ahmedabad.
The film actor, son of thespian Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR), flew to the Gujarat capital to meet the BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate this evening.
The Akkineni family has been keeping an arm's length from politics. Rumours doing around in the film industry suggest that the actor-businessman may join the BJP or extend support from outside.
"He has got an invitation from the BJP to meet Modi. He will discuss various issues," a source close to the actor told Business Line . Jana Sena President Konidela Pawan Kalyan met Modi and announced support to his leadership.
The new party, however, has not spelt out whether or not it would contest in the ensuing polls.
