National Thermal Power Corporation has assured the Telangana Government that the entire power generated from the proposed 4000 MW thermal power project at Ramagundam would be allotted to the State.
Arup Roy Choudhury, Chairman and Managing Director, NTPC, along with Southern Regional Executive Director R Venkateshwaran met Chief Minister K. Chandhrashekhar Rao here on Monday, seeking early clearances and support for the project implementation, according to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office.
The Chief Minister said the required water allocation would be ensured and informed the CMD that he would personally take up the issue of coal linkage with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The NTPC chief said the project would be commissioned within four years.
