Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to his Parliamentary constituency of Varanasi on September 22-23 holds a packed agenda. Covered by it are a variety of events, from infrastructure and railways to textiles, financial inclusion, environment and sanitation, animal husbandry, and culture and spirituality.
An official release said that on Friday, the “Prime Minister will dedicate to the nation, the Deendayal Hastkala Sankul — a trade facilitation centre for handicrafts — at Bada Lalpur.” He will also flag off the Mahamana Express through a video link. The train will connect Varanasi with Surat and Vadodara in Gujarat.
Modi will also inaugurate the banking services of Utkarsh Bank, a micro-finance firm, and unveil a plaque to mark the laying of foundation stone of the headquarters of the institution.
In addition, Modi will dedicate a Jal Ambulance and Jal Shav Vahan service to the people of Varanasi through video link.
On Friday evening, he will visit the historic Tulsi Manas temple in Varanasi and release a postal stamp on the Ramayana . Later, he will visit the Durga Mata temple.
On Saturday, the Prime Minister will participate in a sanitation activity in village Shahanshahpur, followed by a visit to the Pashudhan Arogya Mela. Modi will conclude his visit after distributing certificates to the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural & Urban) and will address the gathering, the release added.
