Prime Minister Narendra Modi's two-day Lucknow visit beginning on Saturday, will include an interaction with 35 beneficiaries of the PMAY (U) -- one from each state/ UT -- during which he will receive feedback from the beneficiaries via video link.
July 28th marks the third anniversary of three urban development schemes launched by the government, namely, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), Atal Mission for Rejuvenation of Urban Transformation (AMRUT), and the Smart Cities Mission.
In a bid to attract more investments and promote industrialisation, the Uttar Pradesh government had organised the UP Investors’ Summit in February. This led to generation of investment intent worth more than Rs 4.28 lakh crore across sectors such as renewable energy, infrastructure, power, IT & electronics manufacturing and tourism.
"Within a few months, investment proposals for 81 projects amounting to an investment of about Rs. 60,000 crore has materialised for ground breaking," said an official statement. On Sunday, the PM will attend a ground-breaking ceremony for these projects in Lucknow.
