Pragati Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Andhra Pradesh Department of Tourism for development of a “World Class Biodiversity Knowledge and theme Park” in Visakhapatnam district.

The proposed Biodiversity Park will come up at Tangudubilli village in Visakhapatnam district with an investment outlay of Rs 300 crore. The State Government is in the process of alienation of land for the Project.

The MoU signing marked the launch of AP Government’s ‘Tourism Mission and Tourism Policy 2015-20’ by N Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

The Pragati’s proposed Biodiversity Knowledge and Theme Park has its own unique features with about 32 thematic components. Each of these components serve as a vehicle for bio-diversity, entertainment, tourist attraction and knowledge centres constructed around the principle theme of wilderness. The project is expected to cater to both national and international tourist interests.

The Pragati group based in Hyderabad is known for its Pragati Biodiversity Knowledge Park near Hyderabad where it houses Pragati Resorts. The Group’s initiative for conservation of biodiversity and promotion of horticulture, ayurveda, naturopathy besides reviving the rich tradition of Indian culture, has been well received.
