Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh today won Rajnandgaon Assembly constituency by defeating Congress’ Alka Mudaliyar by a margin of 35,866 votes.
Singh got 86,797 votes while Alka could get 50,931 votes.
Alka is wife of Congress leader Uday Mudaliar, who was killed in naxal attack in Darbha valley under Bastar region May this year.
BJP’s Bhaiyalal Rajwade has won Baikunthpur seat by a margin of 1,069 votes. He defeated Congress’ Bedanti Tivari, who got 44,402 votes.
The ruling party candidate Santosh Bafna has defeated Congress’ Shamu Kashyap by a margin of 16,658 votes in naxal-hit Jagdalpur constituency.
Whereas, Congress’ Baghel Lakheshwar has won naxal-hit Bastar constituency.
Lakheshwar, who defeated BJP’s Subhaoo Kashyap, has got 57,942 votes.
Kashyap could get 38,774 votes.
