Leading global companies such as IBM, Tata Steel and Siemens will conduct a campus recruitment drive at Inkel Green campus in Malappuram.

Inkel has joined hands with Nettur Technical Training Foundation (NTTF) to set up an institute to provide hundred per cent job-oriented courses to students, majority of them from weaker sections of society.

The institute, which offers three-year diploma courses in electronics and mechatronics, has advanced high-tech labs and equipment in PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design and fabrication, PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), robotics, automation etc.

Inkel Managing Director T Balakrishnan said 95 per cent of the students are expected to get placement through the recruitment drive that begins in December.

The recruitment drive will give impetus in developing the park as an educational hub, he said in a release.

The other major companies that will participate in the recruitment drive are Anand Group, Apollo Tyres, Ashok Leyland, Auto Craft Engineering, Axcel India, Mahindra and Mahindra, TVS Motors, Tyco, Fanuc and Motherson.

Inkel has invested ₹10 crore for developing infrastructure for the institution. NTTF officials said the institute currently has about 350 students and it will be increased to 1,000 in the coming years.
