The Andhra Pradesh Planning Board Vice-Chairman, C Kutumba Rao, has questioned the claims of some BJP leaders on the funds released for the Visakhapatnam-Chennai industrial corridor and alleged that "the leaders are indulging in a deliberate misinformation campaign to malign the TDP Government in the State."

He was speaking to the media here on Wednesday. He challenged the Bharatiya Janata Party spokesman, G V L Narasimha Rao, to ask the Centre to release a white paper on the funds released and the status of Visakhapatnam-Chennai corridor.

He said the Centre failed to release funds for the development of the corridor and it was showing a partisan attitude towards the State.

Objecting to the comments of G V L Narasimha Rao that a stock market expert (Kutumba Rao) had been appointed as the Vice-Chairman of AP Planning Board, Kutumba Rao said that “it is the privilege of the Chief Minister to appoint experts of different walks of life to different posts."
