The last Cabinet meeting of the incumbent Narendra Modi government was held at Gandhinagar on Monday ahead of declaration of results for recently-concluded Assembly elections which will pave way for formation of new government.
The counting of votes for all the 182 constituencies, which went to polls in two phases on December 13 and 17, will be held tomorrow.
“In the Cabinet meeting held today condolences were paid to former prime minister I K Gujral who passed away last month,” state spokesperson Jaynarayan Vyas said.
Modi, who is seeking the third term at the helm in Gujarat, would be acting as caretaker chief minister till new government is formed.
