Satish Kumar Mittal, Commissioner of Railway Safety, Southern Circle, Bangalore, under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, will hold a statutory inquiry in connection with the derailment of Muzafurpur-Yeswanthppur (train no 15228) on Wednesday.
The accident, in which one person died, happened at 5 a.m. between Chitteri and Mahendrawadi stations in Arakkonam-Katpadi section of the Chennai Division.
Any member of the public having knowledge relating to the accident and matter connected with and desiring to give evidence may do so on April 15 at the Southern Railway Divisional Manager's conference hall, Chennai Division, at 11 a.m., says a public notice issued by Southern Railway.
