Twenty six bags of banned tobacco products like Gutka and other items, worth Rs 12.6 lakh, were seized from a godown near a school in this city and two persons arrested in this connection, police said.
The arrested included an employee of the godown, they said, adding the godown owner is absconding
Police raided the godown on a tip off that the items were being stored there and sold at exorbitant rates in view of the recent ban on such items by the state government.
