Dell has announced that Sakra World Hospital, a multi-specialty hospital in Bengaluru, has chosen Dell’s end-to-end solution to improve its healthcare services.
Sakra Hospital was looking for a scalable, cost-effective IT platform with built-in data protection to support its hi-tech facilities. After evaluating multiple vendors, Dell was found to be the best vendor as the company’s complete IT solution offering aligned best with the hospital’s aims and objectives. Besides the hardware, Dell also offered them the quality, performance, services and simplified scale-out critical to the healthcare environment.
The company said the solution consisted of Dell PowerEdge blade servers with Intel Xeon processors, Dell PowerVault storage, Dell Networking switches, and NetVault Backup software. The solution also featured Dell OptiPlex, Latitude, and Vostro clients with Intel Core processors. As part of the deal, the hospital also has access to Dell ProSupport Next Business Day Onsite service to help maintain uptime.
Bhoopendra Solanki, Senior IT Manager, Sakra World Hospital said, “We run trial restores once a month to make sure everything works okay, and the news is good. What do I like about NetVault Backup software the most? Right now, it is the simplicity. It takes just a couple of minutes a day to make sure backups are running smoothly.”
