Maharashtra Navnirman Chitrapat Karmachari Sena (MNCKS), a group affiliated to the political party MNS, has warned PVR and other multiplex associations to screen Marathi films at prime time or face the wrath of the Raj Thackeray-led outfit.
“We gave a representation to the PVR manager and have sent the same to other multiplexes as well. Our demand is to continue with the screening of Marathi films at prime time,” MNCKS President Amey Khopkar said.
“If multiplex associations do not give into our demand, we will launch the agitation in our own style,” he threatened.
He said the PVR multiplexes that were planning to withdraw screening of Marathi films from August 14, have agreed to their demand. MNCKS takes up the issues of workers in the Marathi film industry.
