Comparing his case with that of industrialist Vijay Mallya, who was expelled from the Rajya Sabha for absconding to Britain without settling bank loans, disqualified senior MP Sharad Yadav said on Thursday he will fight for justice.
Without criticising the decision of Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu, he said even Mallya’s expulsion was carried out after the Ethics Committee of Parliament discussed the matter.
Signalling that the next round of struggle will be in the apex court, Yadav said he will be failing in his duty if he does not fight to save the preamble of the Constitution and the JD(U)’s constitution.
“My fight is for principles and democracy. I will fight it in all forums, including court,” he said.
