Shriram EPC has secured its maiden project in transportation segment in Tamil Nadu with a ₹71-crore order from Arulmigu Dandayuthapani Temple in Palani. The scope of the work includes handling design, manufacture, supply and erection, testing, to commissioning, operating and maintenance of the second ropeway to the temple. It will serve 1,200 persons an hour, according to a statement from the company.
The existing ropeway can handle 300 passengers per hour. “This project with our partner will broaden our range of offerings and allow us to tap into a new sector. There are multiple opportunities for both niche and mainstream offerings and we are seeing signs of increasing momentum in enquiries and order wins,” said T Shivaraman, MD and CEO, Shriram EPC Ltd.
