A written complaint of the Solar Panel scam accused Saritha S Nair was today handed over to a lower court in Kerala by the Superintendent of the Women’s Jail, where the accused is lodged.
The complaint, brought in a sealed cover, was handed over to the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate court (Economic offences) here this morning by the Jail Superintendent of Attakulangara.
The court had on July 26 permitted Saritha to prepare her written complaint, if any, ‘uninfluenced’ by anybody else and had directed the Jail superintendent to forward it to the court concerned by July 31.
Saritha had been produced in court on July 20 when she had told the judge she wanted to say something in-camera.
The court had asked her to file her written complaint after rumours had spread that the court had recorded the statements of the accused on the facts of the case and she had revealed the names of some cabinet ministers in the state.
The scam pertains to financial cheating of large number of people by main accused Saritha Nair and Biju Radhakrishnan. It took a serious political turn after arrest of a close personal aide of Oommen Chandy for his alleged links with the fraudsters.
Two other personal staff members of Chandy were removed and state Public Relations Director A Firoz was also arrested in a related case.
