The showroom of Somany Ceramics was inaugurated here on Wednesday morning by Sanjay Kalra, the president (sales and marketing).
He said on the occasion that it was the third showroom in AP after Vijayawada and Tirupati. He said the company would expand to other towns in the State. He said the company had at present more than 200 showrooms and outlets in the country and every month three to four were being added.
Kalra said the company was selling premier tiles, sanitary ware and bathroom fittings, offering the latest and exquisite designs to suit customer tastes.
He said the company was growing at 15-18 per cent every year and the turnover last year was Rs 1,600 crore. The company has manufacturing units near New Delhi and in Gujarat besides 11 joint ventures for manufacture of tiles and sanitary ware.
He said the company was also exporting 5 per cent of its products to 63 countries including the European markets.
Somany Ceramics had recently been awarded “Asia’s Most Promising Brand” in the ceramic tile industry, he added.
