A day after Narendra Modi vowed to develop Seemandhra, it was the turn of Congress President Sonia Gandhi to make several promises at an election rally here on Friday to convert the region into ‘Swarna Andhra’. “I assure the youth of Seemandhra they need not harbour any fears on education or employment. All facilities would be provided to them and for 10 years the status quo would continue and they can study in the institutions in Hyderabad as in a united State. In the meanwhile, the facilities would be built up here. It is my promise, my pledge,” she said.
