Bihar’s State-run Cooperative Milk Federation (COMFED) on Monday said it will sell milk products including sweets under ‘Sudha’ brand in the National Capital through 535 outlets of State-run DMS.
The COMFED had announced its entry in Delhi-NCR packaged milk market last month. Currently, it is selling 30,000 litres milk a day besides other milk products.
“We are grateful to Delhi Milk Scheme (DMS) for allowing Sudha milk products to be sold from their outlets. It will help COMFED to reach out to wider consumer and provide people with a variety of fresh and pure milk products,” COMFED Managing Director, Harjot Kaur, said in a statement.
Milk products such as gulab jamun, balushahi, peda, kesar peda and soan papdi will also be sold from January 1 through DMS outlets in the National Capital, she said, adding that other products such as paneer would also be sold soon.
“We have signed an agreement with DMS. They will be charging certain commission for proving the platform for selling our brand,” Kaur said.
The cooperative would also explore the possibility of tie-up with the DMS for selling milk through their outlets, she added.
Mother Diary is the largest milk supplier with sale of 30 lakh litres a day, followed by Amul with about 20 lakh litres a day.
