A new superfast weekly train from Dibrugarh in Assam to Kolkata was flagged off on Wednesday by State Labour and Employment Minister Prithibi Majhi.
The 122526/12525 Dibrugarh-Kolkata train was in addition to the daily Kamrup Express and Saraighat Express and the tri-weekly Garib Rath Express, Northeast Frontier Railway Chief Public Relations Officer S Hajong said.
The new train is scheduled to leave Dibrugarh every Tuesday and reach Kolkata the next day, while the return train will depart from Kolkata every Wednesday and reach Dibrugarh on Thursday.
