Three more swine flu related deaths have been reported in Telangana, raising the official toll to 49.
A State Government bulletin said twenty-four samples of the 78 tested on Thursday were found to be positive. From January 1, 3649 samples have been tested, out of which 1186 were found to be positive.
It however noted that the number of positive cases reported in the last six days is showing a decrease in intensity. The number ranges between 23 and 30.
Doctors are still unable to analyse how the disease spread is continuing despite rise in temperatures. It was expected that rise in mercury levels would bring down the intensity significantly in the first or latest by second week of this month.
The bulletin said sufficient stock of medicine was available at all teaching, district and area hospitals. Also, there are enough testing kits and kits for viral transport medium, it added.
