The Bharatiya Janata Party criticised both the major Dravidian parties - the AIADMK and DMK - on providing corrupt governance in the State over the years.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has presented corruption-free good governance while the AIADMK and DMK have presented in Tamil Nadu corruption full bad governance, said BJP leader and Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar, who is in charge of the party's election duty in the State.
"They are doing petty politics and fooling voters by labelling their name on schemes that are essentially financed 90 per cent by the Central Government," he told newspersons.
For instance, 90 per cent subsidy is provided by the Centre for rice distribution for the poor while the State government gives only 10 per cent. "They are putting their own names and calling it as Amma rice while people say it should be called prime minister rice," he said.
V Selvaraj, a retired IAS officer and chairperson of the All India Samathuva Katchi floated by actor Sarath Kumar, today joined the BJP opposing his party's support to the AIADMK in the forthcoming Assembly elections to be held on May 16.
