Cab service aggregators TaxiForSure has launched its TaxiForSure Driver Finishing School in Bengaluru.
Aprameya R, Co-founder and Director, TaxiForSure, said, “This will be an exclusive finishing school open to all drivers (ranging from taxi drivers to your personal driver) to enhance their soft skills.”
The finishing school will be open to all licensed drivers and they can avail of the six-day course for free. To begin with, TaxiForSure will launch the finishing school in Bengaluru and will also be opening similar finishing schools in other cities later.
Explaining the objectives finishing school, Aprameya said “Today we see that drivers coming from diverse backgrounds opt for the profession. They may or may not have had the privilege of a formal education, which may have deprived them of enhancing their behavioural and emotional quotient.”
The finishing school also aims to bridge this gap, in order to have drivers who do more than just drive. The course is designed with an objective to add to the current skills of the driver, and help them interact with customers in a more engaging manner.
Aprameya said, “This is the need of the hour because of a mismatch between customer expectations and the skill sets available at the market place. The finishing school aims to bridge this gap. Through this initiative we would like to give drivers a feel of a university and a classroom and create a visible distinction amongst drivers who pass out of our finishing school.”
On the course design, Aprameya explained that in the light of the recent events, it is of utmost importance to train drivers in India with basic skills and educate them in order to enhance not only public safety but to further their knowledge for a better livelihood.
