Candidates have been selected with feedback from the grassroots in both the Telangana and Seemandhra regions, said TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu.
Releasing its first list of candidates for the Seemandhra region todayhe said the party is conscious that some of its leaders did not get ticket due to the alliance with the BJP.
He said these people would be suitably rewarded once the new government came to power. Wednesday was the last day for filing nominations in the Telangana region, which votes on April 30.
JustificationChandrababu Naidu said, “I have taken feedback from the grassroots from more than one lakh voters in each constituency, in some cases more than two lakh, through an interactive voice response system and the data so gathered have been analysed before selecting a candidate. I can justify why a particular candidate has been chosen and another left out.”
He admitted that there have been concerns on the ground in the TDP and the BJP about the seat-sharing arrangement but said the people must realise that a strong alliance would help win the elections and also ensure that the developmental goals are achieved in both the regions.
