The Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday said he will swear in as the Chief Minister of Seemandhra (Andhra Pradesh) selecting an auspicious day and time after the appointed date, June 2.
Speaking to newspersons, the TDP leader said he favoured all-round development of both Telangana and Seemandhra and assured that he would extend all support to ensure both regions do well.
He felt that some of the statements made lately by some leaders (referring to the TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao), would send wrong signals to the outside world and could adversely impact brand Hyderabad.
The TDP leader said it took a number of years to develop this brand and provocative statements could harm its interest. Making statements on a political platform was different from making them when one has a responsible role.
He called on the Governor ESL Narasimhan and discussed matters relating to the State’s bifurcation and division of assets and the selection of senior bureaucrats in his team.
Naidu will be in Delhi tomorrow to finalise the induction of some of his colleagues in the Narendra Modi-led NDA Government. He will take part in Modi’s swearing-in ceremony slated for Monday.
