Revanth Reddy, Telugu Desam MLA from Telangana, has been questioned and later held by sleuths of Anti Corruption Bureau for his alleged effort to bribe a nominated MLA to support the party for the ensuing Council election in the State.
However, later in the day as he was coming out from the questioning, Reddy contended this was part of the conspiracy to frame him and was hatched by the State Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao as he has been voicing concerns against the Government.
He said that the party and its leadership was with him and he would continue to fight against the oppressive K Chandrasekhar Rao Government.
The allegation against Revanth Reddy is that he has been seeking to elicit the support of nominated member Elvis Stephenson by allegedly bribing him. There are reports that the amount is Rs 50 lakh to seek his support.
