In the backdrop of strained relations with BJP in the Seemandhra region of Andhra Pradesh, the Telugu Desam Party early on Friday released its fifth list of candidates.
In the list of 23 candidates for the Assembly segments, Seemandhra was announced.
With TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu announcing that BJP had not allocated tickets to right candidates in the Seemandhra region, there has been considerable strain in the alliance between the two parties.
TDP-BJP talks
Yet another round of talks have been initiated between the two parties to see that the alliance does not fall through. The main contention of TDP is that BJP has failed to choose the right candidates for the seats that they have chosen to contest as part of the alliance arrangement.
He wanted changes to be made as the deadline for nomination ends on Saturday.
Members in both the parties are hopeful of an amicable settlement.
