The Telangana Government and officials of L&T Metro Rail Limited have decided to hold another meeting to take forward the proposal to make changes in the metro route alignment.
A meeting was held today here where Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao expressed the need to make changes to the alignment agreeing to meet the additional costs due to the changes suggested.
AM Naik, L&T Chairman, Shankar Raman, L&T CFO, VB Gadgil, Chief Executive of L&T Metro Hyderabad participated in the meeting where the Chief Minister was firm on the alignment change.
The issue of alignment change has become a matter of concern holding up project implementation and the meeting today and later this month again on November 20 are aimed at resolving these issues.
A statement from the Chief Minister's office said that Rao was firm on some changes and was keen that the 72 km metro project be increased to 200 km.
Sources said that L&T may consider alignment change if additional funding is provided.
