The Telangana Government is planning a Hyderabad habitat centre on lines of the Indian Habitat Centre in New Delhi. The project, which will promote the art and heritage of the city, will come up at Khanamet in the city at a cost of ₹100 crore, Minister for IT and Panchayati Raj K T Rama Rao said. He launched a new body, Telangana Chamber of Events Industry, comprising companies and associations in the ₹300 crore events and entertainment industry in Telangana. The body comprises six sub-sectors within the industry, including events, sound, event caterers and entertainers.
