Telangana Telugu Desam Party MLA from Qutuballapur constituency KP Vivekanand Goud today joined the Telangana Rastra Samithi.
This is yet another setback to the TDP. After the general elections and elections to the State in 2014, several elected members and leaders have joined TRS.
Calling on the TRS chief and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at his camp office today morning, Goud joined the TRS.
He was greeted by Rao and inducted into the party.
Later, speaking to media, he said that people are now with the TRS and the recent polls to the greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and the success of TRS demonstrate this. People have also begun to like the policy initiatives and programmes taken up by the TRS, he said.
