Assuring overall development, the Telugu Desam Party outlined its intent to boost the farm sector and improve infrastructure in both regions, in separate manifestos released late on Monday.
Outlining the general intent and development agenda of his party through the poll manifesto, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu said the focus of the manifestos is to fulfil various assurances that he had made to the people during his ‘padayatra.’
He said developing the industrial clusters and infrastructure in the Seemandhra region and harnessing the existing infrastructure and developing it further in Telangana, would be his major focus.
The manifesto seeks to lay a special thrust on renewable energy sources, encouraging the setting up of solar units and harnessing solar power for agricultural pump-sets.
The manifesto also outlined the general intent to have a special budget for agriculture and allied sectors and a thrust on irrigation projects and development of the power sector, which he felt was badly managed by the Congress during their tenure.
While laying a special thrust on welfare schemes, including free education from KG to post-graduation for the poor, he said the farm sector, employment and women’s safety issues would top his development agenda.
