Congress and BJP will not be able to form government at the Centre after the Lok Sabha polls and only third force will emerge stronger, Samajwadi Party said today and claimed the party will play a crucial role in it.
A joint meeting of SP’s state parliamentary board and election coordination committee was today held at party office here to discuss poll strategy.
“At the meeting, chaired by state president Akhilesh Yadav, it was decided to emphasis on strengthening of booth committees and propagating works done by the party,” SP spokesman Rajendra Chowdhury said.
“Congress and BJP will not be able to form government at the Centre and only third force will emerge stronger in which SP have to play a crucial role,” Chowdhury said adding that workers would be mobilised so that party could won maximum number of seats.
The party leaders also discussed ongoing cycle ‘yatra’ and holding review meetings at all the Assembly constituencies between February 16 to 20 with booth in-charges.
Communal politics, corruption and price-rise would be the key issues in Lok Sabha polls, the leader said and emphasised that workers should be made aware of the propaganda of opposition.
