The Tamil Nadu government has launched an e-governance policy to provide various services digitally.
Government services will be provided through service centres spread across the State and also through mobile apps. The policy also has guidelines to provide IT infrastructure for digital initiatives.
Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami released the e-Governance Policy 2017 booklet at the Secretariat here on Tuesday.
The policy includes a provision to allocate 0.5 per cent of the total funds in a financial year to digital initiatives. The allocation will be gradually increased to 3 per cent in the next five years, said a press release.
