The Trinamool Congress on Tuesday welcomed NDA ally JD(U)’s assertion that it could support a no-confidence motion against the UPA Government brought by other parties and said it favoured a ‘Federal Front’
“We welcome it. It is a changing situation now. Many parties will come forward to oppose the Centre’s anti-people decisions. Yesterday, DMK had said that it would back any opposition-sponsored resolution in Parliament against allowing FDI in multi-brand retail,” senior party leader Saugata Roy told PTI here.
JD(U) chief Sharad Yadav had said in New Delhi earlier on Tuesday that “we are not focussed on ousting the Government but if it is falling anyway, we will definitely give it a push.”
